BIM - Building Information Modeling

We created the cultural, contentual and structural framework for rigorously implementing BIM in all of ATP’s offices as early as 2008. As a result of the development of our own BIM standards we are now regarded as a leader of innovation in the German-speaking Region.

BIM - BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING - stands for the digital representation of all architectural, technical, physical and functional properties of a building structure in a central electronic data model. Here, the data from the briefing, design, construction, and operation through alteration and conversion to demolition are recorded, stored and updated.

BIM digitalizes the design of all specialist areas in real time. It offers better quality information and more certainty to clients, designers, and users. This is particularly helpful in simulating design measures and providing more accurate prognoses during the early project phases, which are so important in determining cost and timetable.

Thanks to our cooperative design culture, we are excellently positioned to benefit from the advantages of BIM. In ATP projects all architects, engineers, specialist planners and other participants in the process work within a digital data model. This is formed from the sub-models of the individual design disciplines and facilitates smooth collaboration free of external interfaces. This way of working is described internationally as "closed BIM".

CLIENTS AND EXECUTING COMPANIES BENEFIT FROM OUR EXPERIENCE WITH BIM:

  • ATP is a pioneer in the use of BIM
  • Since 2012, all ATP projects have been processed with BIM
  • 200 active BIM projects in progress
  • Successfully implemented in over 100 major projects
  • Model-based project organization and quality management
  • In-house ATP development and training department
  • Passing on of know-how via projects and a range of initiatives
  • Participation by ATP in all bodies working to draw up norms for the use of BIM
