From Iron Foundry to Global Freezing Leader
Heinen's journey began back in 1856, when Anton Heinen founded “Heinens’ Fabrik,” an iron foundry. Over the decades, the company built a reputation for reliability and robust industrial machinery.
Fast-forward to 1982, when Heinen entered a joint venture to manufacture spiral freezers—a decisive pivot toward food processing technology. Just two years later, in 1984, they began designing and producing these freezers independently at their plant in Varel, Germany.
Since 2010, the company operates under the name Heinen GmbH & Co. KG, having transformed into a market leader in spiral systems for the food industry.
Today, Heinen offers comprehensive solutions encompassing spiral proofing, cooling, freezing, and pasteurizing systems, serving clients in over 30 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
Their motto “Mastering any degree” reflects not only their technological expertise but also their commitment to global adaptability and long-term partnerships.
