Alcohol (ethanol) is often added to the packaging of packaged fresh pastries or baked goods such as toast in order to significantly extend the shelf life of the products. The AutoJet® Systems ensure a precise application for optimal results.
The AutoJet® dosing system sprays an accurate dose of alcohol preservative solution onto
individual products shortly before packaging. Each alcohol dose is controlled
in quantity and duration, covering the total length of the product; even if the conveyor
speed changes (high repeatability). Simple dosing requires regular calibration, but is more cost-effective.
By spraying a controlled amount of preservative alcohol just before packaging, you can
significantly increase the sell by date of your product. The alcohol preservative works by
evenly spray coating each product's surface with a tiny amount of alcohol-based aromatic
solution (which is about 70 % proof.), just before the final packaging. This process enhances aromas in your products and reduces their microbial charge immediately.
The advanced versions offer high precision dispensing through the use of flow meters. This guarantees the applied amount of ethanol and thus product safety.
Our standard AutoJet® software has all possible fine settings for correct control of the dosing process and can also store recipes for different products on the same packaging line.
