OUR ENERGY CONCEPT

Energy is an invaluable resource. This is not the only reason why we see the responsible use of primary energy as a task and an obligation in equal measure, as is the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants.

The ICECOOL energy concept uses two key components: the efficient refrigeration cycle and innovative heat recovery. High-quality components guarantee the quality of the refrigeration systems, which require less energy thanks to larger condensers and evaporators. Electronic programmable injection valves precisely control the process. Waste refrigeration heat is utilized by the HeatRecovery program: Service water for heating or rinsing areas is heated efficiently. Fermentation and defrosting processes are also supported by thermo glycol, which significantly reduces power consumption. A pioneering concept for lower energy consumption, higher quality and maximum efficiency in iCECOOL plants.

Heat recovery
ICECOOL's heat recovery program makes use of the waste heat from your refrigeration systems. Powerful heat exchangers heat drinking water, service water or glycol for various applications. You can use it to operate floor and panel heating systems or to heat rinse water. You can also efficiently use the waste heat for fermentation or defrosting processes, eliminating the need for electric heaters. Your ICECOOL systems require less power connection and consume only a fraction of the energy. With heat recovery, you increase the energy efficiency of your operation and make an important contribution to sustainability. Use the resulting heat as an additional resource and benefit from environmentally friendly and cost-efficient operation.

REFRIGERANT

The natural refrigerant R744 [CO2]

Carbon dioxide [CO2] is a natural substance that occurs in nature. With its low global warming potential, it is a very environmentally friendly refrigerant in a closed refrigeration cycle and is particularly efficient at low temperatures. The price is low and availability is high. The high waste heat temperatures can also be used well for heat recovery.

The greenhouse gas-reduced refrigerant R455A

With a GWP below 150, the refrigerant R455A has about one twenty-fifth the value of the refrigerants still widely used today. Because of the lower pressure levels, compared to the natural refrigerant CO2, it is an attractive alternative. ICECOOL is also a pioneer in the market for this technology.
