About us

Our company Herbert Birnbaum GmbH is currently managed by the fifth generation.

We produce our proofing baskets consciously solely in Germany and export in more then 62 countries. Using modern machines and equipment but especially with skilled craftmanship, we are able to offer the best quality of proofing baskets. Our customers are mailny the bread industry, bread factories, handicraft business, retailers for baking accessories and hobby bakers. When purchasing our raw material we buy top quality only to ensure the baskets withstand the requirements of industrial use permanently. Our strenghts are: the combined know-how of several generations, local production, personal advice and service as well as customized production. Our products comply with the requirements of §31 LFGB (food contact) and the testing princiles of food processing machinery of the DGUV-Test regarding hygiene. 

Our certifications: ISO 9001 - quality management, EMAS- environmental management.
