Spiral system are preferred in the industry in order to benefit from available height, save from space, minimize product loss, achieve more hygienic production, increase productivity and minimize downtimes. These benefits cannot be achieved by every spiral system. Direct Drive is the only system that can achieve all these benefits, which makes it different from other systems.
Patented Direct Drive technology eliminates most of the weak points of other systems. This allows to assure a sustainable and reliable performance from a spiral system. So, what are the benefits of Direct Drive:
Low Belt Tension under Heavy Loads and Extended Belt Life
In Friction Drive systems, belt tension must be increased in order to move the belt by creating an overdrive. Belt cannot be moved without this overdrive. Belt tension is increased, and belt life decreases as a result.
In Direct Drive systems, the belt is working with very low tension since it is directly engaged on the drum. This increases the belt life significantly.
Also, increased product load does not have any negative effect on the Direct Drive system performance because belt tension does not need to be increased to run the belt. However, belt tension must be increased in Friction Drive systems in case of increased product load. Otherwise, belt flip up and unexpected stoppages will be an inevitable part of your life.
Dirtyness is not a System Failure Reason Anymore
Belt, belt support guides and drum dirtyness will remain only as a hygiene topic with Direct Drive system while such dirtyness will miseffect the system performance critically with Friction Drive system. Belt flip up problems and unexpected stoppages will be an inevitable part of your life with Friction Drive system while Direct Drive system will achieve zero stoppage time due to dirtyness.
Elimination of Product Orientation Issues and Product Loss
Products will leave the spiral system as they entered as a result of minimized vibration and shaking during travel. This will eliminate any labour necessity between spiral and packaging system.
Product losses due to dropping out of the spiral belt or jamming will be eliminated by Direct Drive system.
Systems designed for proofing of pans on spiral belt will shelter a great risk of pan jamming during travel. Direct Drive system will eliminate this risk as well due to its superior product alignment from infeed to outfeed.
