THE CLIENT

The client was Bimbo of El Salvador and this project came about through our distributor Greener Origins in El Salvador.

Bimbo is a pioneer brand in the baking industry that began its history in 1945. Currently, it is present in 33 countries, with presence in 4 continents and about 134,000 employees.

Its offer in the baking industry is diversified, with more than 100 brands. It is recognized for its flatbread.

 

THE PROBLEM

The client had a problem washing plastic boxes, and was using an obsolete tunnel where washing and disinfection were not ensured. There were 5 workers assigned to this task, and a huge amount of water was wasted in each wash.

There was also no way of drying other than manually.

 

THE SOLUTION

In the process of evaluating the washing equipment, Somengil made tests with the trays and ensured the high level of hygiene that Bimbo El Salvador was looking for.

A Multiwasher 700 was installed, and it guaranteed the quality of the hygienization process, standardized processes and ensured the sustainability concern of the company.

With the Multiwasher, savings in water, energy, and chemical products were ensured, and a drying process that previously did not exist was introduced.

The Multiwasher also brought the energy and resource savings that Bimbo El Salvador was looking for due to its strong environmental awareness. The appealing design and space savings were also a determining factor.
