N1 multispectral 3D scanner for quality control

Our new N1 multispectral 3D scanner captures the 3D shape and the color of the product moving on the conveyor. It calculates geometrical and color parameters like product height, volume, diameter, topping color, cracks and spots to identify the defective product and sort it out.

We are proud to present to you our new N1 multispectral 3D scanner. The N1 is a 3D laser triangulation scanner with an integrated multispectral unit, developed for part inspection and quality control applications. The N1 combines precise 3D data with RGB and NIR color information, enabling a whole range of new applications and analysis possibilities.

The N1 captures the shape and the color of the product. This data are processed by the integrated machine learning module, which can be trained to identify the defective product and sort it out. This unique combination of 3D, color and data processing in one device reduces the final system complexity and costs.

To identify the out-of-specs products the N1 measures:

  • 3D parameters: maximum and average height, volume, weight, surface roughness,  cracks, surface tilt
  • 2D parameters: diameter, roundness, aspect ratio, length, width, area
  • Color parameters: average color, color homogeneity, color indices, color spots and line defects

The N1 can be delivered with the application specific rejection unit to remove the defective product from the production line.

The production process can be monitored by our web-based software. It provides real time product images, product parameters and statistics to line operator.
