Prolink Series 13 plastic modular belts with new quick-release system

Quick opening and closing of Prolink Series 13 plastic modular belts with the ProSnap System (PSP) from Forbo Movement Systems. The tool-free quick-locking system simplifies cleaning (COP = cleaning out of place) and maintenance on site.

The Prolink series 13 plastic modular belts with an 8 mm (0.31 in) pitch (micro pitch) were custom-developed for knife-edge applications that convey light- to medium-weight products in food andd non-food applications. The special shape of the modules allows returns over rolling or fixed knife edges up to a radius of 3 mm, so that even the tiniest of products can be transferred properly. The optimum design of the teeth and the belt’s underside enables excellent tooth engagement so that, alongside precise guidance capabilities, a comparatively high level of power transmission of up to 4 N/mm of belt width is achieved.

Fast and easy opening of the module chain is a big advantage, especially in hygiene-critical food production and processing when plastic modular belts are taken off the conveyor for cleaning (called COP = cleaning out of place).

Forbo Movement Systems’ new ProSnap (PSP) fastener is now available for Prolink series 13. This is what’s known as a quick-release system for easy and fast tool-free opening and closing of the belt. This system can be fitted to all the plastic modular belt series 13 variants, which is a huge benefit in terms of the time saved.

ProSnap has a smooth surface (FLT), is very strong and comes in various materials. The fact that the ProSnap system’s color (LB) differs from that of the belt (BL or WT) allows the fastener to be identified quickly.

Diverse modular belt surfaces make the series 13 belts versatile options in the dough-processing industry during conveying, drying, and cooling of products.
