Roll Line KGV EC: The Performance Class of Roll Lines in "Easy Clean Design"

With the KGV EC industrial roll line, bakeries from all over the world produce Kaisersemmeln, hot dogs, Spitzbrötchen, and much more, and can even stamp their own logo into the product. All this at an hourly output of up to 48,600 pieces.

The KGV EC is not only one of the most powerful lines König has ever built, but also the largest plant in the 'Easy Clean' series to date," says Koenig Managing Director Wolfgang Staufer about the new development.

Koenig KGV bread roll lines have been a benchmark for industrial plants and have successfully supported the bakery production of customers worldwide for decades. Now the completely redesigned KGV EC in Easy Clean Design is available in the Koenig standard plant range.

Thanks to the modular design, customers determine the configuration: the first KGV EC, for example, offers a range of 26 different products from Kaiser rolls, rose rolls, and pretzel rolls to sliced rolls or wrapped rolls. Configurations for additional products are possible and the variety is endless.

Performance features

The KGV EC is available in various working widths and offers a capacity of 50 to 65 strokes per minute, depending on the product. This corresponds to an output of 46,800 pieces per hour with a system in 1200 mm working width and 12-row operation.

The line has a configurable pre-proofing cabinet with, for example, 750 occupiable hangers at 50 strokes/min (proofing time of 15 minutes) or at 60 strokes/min (proofing time of 12.5 minutes). Due to a modular construction principle with modules such as stamping station, rose bun unit, forming station, seeding unit, etc., the customer is offered an unlimited variety of products.

"Easy Clean Design" for unique cleaning and maintenance

The KGV EC offers maximum line availability through reduced line cleaning and downtime. The "Easy Clean" design ensures optimized hygiene and accessibility with a new type of frame construction. With beveled surfaces at a 45° angle, neither flour nor dough residues can accumulate. The drives are completely enclosed from the dough area, and large door elements provide easy access for cleaning and maintenance. The plant has generous floor clearance of at least 200 mm, and pull-out drawers under the entire plant allow easy cleaning. In the design of the line, welded constructions were preferred over bolted connections. The line is robustly constructed of stainless steel and plastic parts for long-lasting operation.

The dough dividing and rounding machine Industrie Rex AW H has an open design such as foldable transfer belt, swiveling and blower unit for easy access to the removable inner moulding drum and the output spreading belt can be easily decoupled on a mobile frame.

Modules such as the stamping station, proofing cabinet and forming station are of open design for easy access, the forming tools are easily removable and can be stored cleanly and protected on their own storage trolley.

The open design of the forming station, strewing unit and setter allows accessibility from both sides.
